Good afternoon everyone. I just wanted to reintroduce myself to the group. I first joined the forum in 2006, but have been pretty dormant once we sold our previous home of 25 years (n 2019) and I had to tear down my crappy basement layout. I been through a lot of different modeling phases throughout the years starting with postwar, then moving to newer traditional semi-scale, then finally to scale. I love scale trains, but for several reasons, am not going to give up my monster lobster couplers! I figure that if I can overlook the 3rd rail, I can (and have) learned to overlook clunky couplers. I do have a digital subscription and am looking forward to interacting with y'all once again. Jim

Hi Jim, Many of us don't get a chance to start over on a new layout, so welcome back and enjoy the adventure!
Welcome back Jim. Planning on another layout? I’m sure We are all eager to know what’s in store for this next chapter.
btw, as much as I like my scale (2 rail) stuff, I can’t completely let go of my Lionel corporation years Ozone machines with those the BIGGER than life couplers either.
Welcome back, Jim. Good to see you posting again.
When will we see pictures of the new layout?
Welcome back, Jim!
Welcome back, Jim!
Thank you Gentlemen.
Alas, there will not be a new permanent layout. I sold off all my Ross/Gargraves track and turnouts when I tore down my old layout. Have made the switch over to Lionel Fastback with O84 curves. When I feel like running the trains, I'll lay some track on the floor of our large upstairs game room for a week or two at a time. Otherwise, I have my trains in 2 large glass doored storage cabinets and can look at them whenever I want. Bonus, of the cabinets is that the trains don't get dusty.

Welcome back to the OGR Forum, Jim!

Hey Jim, just coming back myself after years away from posting. In fact, I just found my email and password after it must be four years
Welcome back to the OGR Forum Jim! Will love to photos of your "Carpet Central" railroad if you have time to snap a few pics/vidoes when trains are running! B&O is one of the railroads I model as well
Welcome back.
