awhile back i had called this guy that apparently fixes up model trains and gives them to people
i had asked if he had any complete lionel stuff like sets with diesels i could possibly repaint in the old blue and grey CSX scheme or Altland Federation's blue and white scheme and he said no but to call him again in march
he had HO stuff though but i don't know how to handle this i mean it looks like a good opportunity but i don't know how to approach it because i could end up getting a free train and i haven't called him yet and i keep picturing me sprawled on my bedroom floor with the train he might have for me and doing some "railfanning" and getting some shots of it rumbling across the "Altland Federation Diamond " as it heads for "phoenix" in august 13th 1996 in an overcast morning with my camcorder
what are your thoughts should i be excited am i too excited should i just let the window pass and forget it?
