Who is Chuck Sartor? and how do I get a hold of him, please.
Thank you, I have sent a e mail to him.
Keep us in the loop as to how this turns out; I for one would very much like to see an old "Labaugh" locomotive brought back to life...

Train will be going to Chuck Sartor for repair.

I don't know Chuck. I am sure he is competent.
If this is nothing more than a cleanup and re-lube it should go smoothly. But once in a while these old models need re-quartering, side rod re-fitting, crankpin cap adjustment, crosshead alignment, maybe piston rod adjustment, and in rare cases crankpin plugging and re-drilling. Pre-war Berks have eaten axle gears, and as of right now I am not sure NWSL is supplying replacement gearboxes.
But most run fine after cleanup and re-lube. It was a fairly good design, all things considered.
Google O nly 3 rail to find Chuck Sartor,
He is highly reconmended.
