If you are in the Northern California area this weekend, The LCCA is co-hosting a special train show event in San Jose CA on Sunday 1-29-12.
We had such a great time during our Sacramento 2009 Convention, the LCCA wants to come back and meet with our members there. The general public is welcome. Please bring your neighbors and friends. Introduce them to the magic of Lionel Trains. People of all ages are invited. There will be a modular train layout with several door raffle prizes. LCCA members who attend will have an opportunity to win an exclusive, desirable LCCA Door prize. Admission is $6/person.

LCCA/GGLRRC Train Sale and Show 29 January 2012
The Golden Gate Lionel Railroad Club (GGLRRC) and The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) are co hosting a Train Show and Sale in San Jose on 29 January 2012 at Napredak Hall in San Jose, CA. Members of both Clubs and the General Public are invited to attend this fun event that traditionally takes place on the Sunday between the last NFL playoff game and the Super Bowl.
This show will feature the GGLRRC 's 17' by 34 ' modular layout, operating three loops of O scale trains, that is regularly invited for display at charitable events and train shows held throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. There will be approximately 100 tables of trains and related items for sale by vendors, plus hourly and special raffles of train related items. LCCA members who show their card will receive a ticket for the exclusive drawing of a special LCCA item.
In attendance will be LCCA Immediate Past President and Special Event Coordinator Al Kolis, plus the Founder of the GGLRRC, Gerry Brettschneider. One of four Clubs founded by him, Gerry will be visiting from the home Club in Milwaukee that he started in 1947.
The GGLRRC club has just celebrated its 25th anniversary, and has held annual train shows in the Bay Area for the past sixteen years. New this year will be a mid-day spaghetti feed, with proceeds benefitting the Aiuto Foundation of the Sons of Sicily. As indicated above, train related items courtesy of LCCA, GGLRRC and other organizations will be raffled off. Thank you to all of the people who attended this show. The turnout was great. It was nice to see so many young families with their children there enjoying themselves. The operating layout and operatingaccessory table were big hits. Welcome to all the new members who joined the LCCA. Thank you to John Rinaldi, Mike D. and the entire GGCRRC club for putting on such a great event. We look forward to having future special events together.
