3-car articulated well cars. The three prototype examples are:
1) Gunderson Maxi-IV
2) Trinity 3-car 53' articulated
3) NSC 3-car 53' articulated.
And of course, Jindo or CIMC containers to go with...
Some of the re-issued accessories that (at first glance) seem to have had their pricing structure inflated significantly by the "plug-n-play" feature.
Only having seen it (plug-n-play) in the catalog today, I won't quite condemn it yet, but it seems like a solution (an expensive one when you add all the track interfaces with the "plug" capability!) looking for a problem.

New Mexico Rail Runner.
Accurate 5-car Seaboard Air Line "Silver Meteor" set. GGD may be the only one capable of doing it, but it's gonna cost.

Never use an inexpensive twisted pair of wires when a more expensive specialized cable will do.

The GE 70ton 600hp model in O-Gauge. Bachmann has it in N & HO.
A "Trackless Trolley" such as ran in Baltimore MD when I was a kid (they've been made in H0), and the modern MTA "Light Rail" that's running there now.
And of course, more conventional control engines

I am voting with you on this. I think most people who recognize these would just as soon not seen one again until they have to -- so why buy a model?
An EMD SW1001 switcher. It was in production from 1968-1986. According to North American Locomotive Production by James T. I hadn't thought of that option. Thanks for the suggestion. Malcolm's work is truly extraordinary. If he can build an O scale Krauss-Maffei ML 4000, he can tackle anything. Since I work in HO as well, I had entertained the thought of getting my double ender fix by looking for an Overland brass model but they typically sell in excess of a grand IF you can find one.

Small steamer from early 20th century, PRR D-16, small ten wheelers and etc.
A 4-6-0 camel back like the LIRR rostered would be nice of course.

I meant I want it but they wont make it and I always rode on them and wouldprobably buy a whole fleet if they did.

Some of the older MOW flats with portable toilets have a lot of character. That car I would buy. Here are some fancier examples.
