I had bought the first version of the Legacy crew talk caboose #2326780.  I noticed a problem when the caboose was part of a lashup that the marker lights would not turn on.  if I addressed the caboose as an engine, the marker lights come on, along with the interior lighting.  When its in a lashup, the marker lights will come on when you use the train link button to access its features.  They then turn back off when you address the train.  I also noticed that the direction button, toggles the marker lights on and off (which is not listed in the manual).

I sent an email to Dave Olsen and he confirmed it was a programming bug in the board.  I got an RA from Lionel and then are going to re-flash the board with the corrected code.  I really appreciate Lionel taking care of this.  Kudos to them for a quick resolution.

I do not know which versions of the legacy crew talk caboose have the bug.  I have a first edition which came out in 2023.  Newer versions may already have the newer code.

Interesting.  I had the same issue I reported in my video review.  Might be time to contact Lionel.

Thanks for posting!
