Legacy Milwaukee Road EP2 Bipolar produces Sounds but does not run | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I purchased the Legacy Milwaukee Road EP-2 Bipolar and ran it once when received back in 2008. I pulled it out yesterday, placed on track, ran it around my loop once and stopped it. When trying to run it again, it would not run. All of the sound effects, bell, horn, etc. work fine.

Steps that I performed to troubleshoot:

Did a Factory Reset on the engine, via the Legacy Remote. Nope.
Placed a different Legacy engine on the same loop to rule out a power issue. Nope.
Placed the EP-2 on a different loop. Nope.
Finally, I laid the EP-2 on its side and wired it directly to a transformer (using alligator clips) to test if it would run in Conventional Mode. It ran just fine.

Ideas welcome.

Just to clarify, were you running it in command or conventional mode when it was on the full layout and stopped running ?

Did you check the Train Brake?

The full layout where it stopped running is in command mode.

Yes. It is all the way off.
