I went to STONE GABLES ESTATE on Monday to see the Lincoln Funeral Train display with the Leviathan replica and the Lincoln Car. This estate is in Elizabethtown, PA (near Harrisburg). Stonegablesestate.com/current-projects shows under National Christmas Center, that this engine and the Lincoln car will have a home there with the Belmont Barn they are moving from Lancaster to this Estate is complete. This is a spectacular historical display area.

My goal is to go there and take some shots with my 1860s camera and 1850s lenses using the wet plate (collodion) process on glass plates.
Kent in SD
Now here is a place to visit on York week, that l have not seen or heard of..
Thank you for sharing this! I haven't seen the Leviathan since the 2009 Steam Fest in Owosso, MI.. I would love to see her again. Gorgeous Locomotive!
Is it still there? The Stone Gables Estate site says Monday and Tuesday for re-enactments, but nothing about after that.

LEHIGHLINE If you back to my original post to the website under current projects read down through the National Christmas stuff it talks about the future plans for the 4-4-0 (Not intuitive)
That train is absolutely stunning. Wish Lionel or MTH had one of these.

Hi Chris,
MTH did make the Leviathan. I have it. It is absolutely gorgeous! Here is the link below. It is not my picture. The brass piping makes the engine come to life.

The MTH model is the Leviathan in name and wheel arrangement only. It uses a much larger NYC 4-4-0 model as the basis.
Presumably Lionel's hybrid model will be much more accurate.

Yeah, not sure what's funnier about that photo--the grotesque proportions from using a completely oversized 1890s boiler for an 1860s locomotive, or the fact that the photographer failed to remove all the foam packaging!

One of the K Line by Lionel catalogs had a Southern Trainmaster on the cover with a torn traction tire.
I was a volunteer on the Lorain & West Virginia Railway and the Leviathan visited us two years in a row. The second time was with the Funeral Car which stayed on static display while Leviathan gave rides. The first year coincided with my first trip to the April York Show. Miraculously my first ever purchase at York was none other than an MTH Premier Leviathan. When I got home I positioned it next to the real thing on the station platform.
Here is a video of the model running on my old layout. I acquired the Union Pacific cars at the following October show.
While at the L&WV we ran a few evening photo runs into the woods with Civil War Reenactors. One of the most unique shoots I have ever been on. https://www.trainwizardpro.com/Leviathan/
