Post your non-O scale stuff here!
In April 2018 we sold our home of 48 years, packed up 21 boxes of O-Gauge Trains, and sold the whole kit and caboodle to Trainz. We moved into an apartment in Michigan and we already owned a condo in Florida where we spend 6 months. My wife, sensing my loss, surprised me with an MTH starter set for Christmas.
So life goes on and I am now enjoying HO.

From my personal experience, I know that model railroading is a great hobby for a retiree. Hope you enjoy it.

I forgot to mention that my wife really got into it. She made the mountain and all the buildings. I did the electrical and road painting etc. and molded the rocks that I stuck in the mountain. I am really amazed that my wife became such a model railroader. Fun to have her aboard.

Looks good, Dennis! There sure isn't anything the least bit wrong with HO or any other scale as long as you are enjoying the hobby. And kudos to your spouse for recognizing that the hobby is important to you, AND for joining you in the enjoyment.
Dennis, what you and your wife have done looks wonderful! I remember you posting that you were moving and had to sell your trains. I'm happy to see your still in the hobby, and your wife, now, also! As Allen stated, the gauge doesn't matter, just as long as you and your wife have fun with it!
I was at work earlier and I thought of you, that I hadn't seen you post in a while. I get home and on OGR and I see that you have a new layout! I still have all my HO stuff from when I was younger, 30+ years ago, I actually plan on building a small O gauge layout and a small HO pike, as well, so I can run that equipment also. If you get around to it, post a video of your trains running, please!

One plus is that in HO you can get ALL the models of prototypes not offered in O...very tempting.
Thank you for posting Dennis, I really enjoyed watching your video! I like the way you and your wife laid out the town and the roads, and the scenery looks great, too! Your layout is proof that it doesn't have to be huge to be impressive, thank you for the inspiration!
