Has anybody seen this? I've found a couple topics about something similar here, just not sure if its the same or not.

I tried to contact them for more date info, but something in the contact forms is wrong/not working.
Doesn't it match up with the actual dates of 150 years ago in the various cities.
I am saving this story...for the next time my wife says "You are obsessed"
That'll show her!
This is being built by the same man that built this engine that runs from New Freedom, PA to Hanover Junction, where Lincoln stopped on this way to Gettysburg for his famous speech. He also has an engine of his own. I hope he is successful in this recreation and commemorative.
Very cool.
That's David Kloke. The locomotive is the LEVIATHAN, built by Mr. Kloke from scratch in 10 years. She was completed in 2009. No. 17, the YORK, was constructed from blueprints of the LEVIATHAN in 3 years. She was competed in 2013. The Reader Railroad in Arkansas built three wooden passenger cars for her that summer. This train runs on the historic Northern Central Railway between New Freedom and Hanover Junction south of York, about 6 miles west of Exit 4 on I-83, under the auspices of Steam into History. Here is a wider view of the train at Hanover Junction. President Abraham Lincoln changed trains here on his way to deliver his Gettysburg Address. No. 17 is facing New Freedom on the main line between Baltimore, Harrisburg, and Sunbury, PA. The curve in the foreground is a remnant of the branch to Hanover and Gettysburg. A coaling bridge, water plugs, an enginehouse and a turntable were located here. An HO scale diorama in the station (now a museum) portrays these facilities. At least one of the Pennsy's two mammoth K-5 Pacifics ran on this line.
After excursions in New York state in the summer of 2013, Mr. Kloke trucked his LEVIATHAN to New Freedom to run with her kid sister, No. 17. When I asked him to pose for a photo at Hanover Junction, he insisted we include these charming young ladies from Steam into History.
No. 17 and her train would make a great GENERAL set. The LEVIATHAN would look good, too.
I went to a open house at his shop and saw the progress on the funeral car last spring quite a undertaking. Here's some photos I took.

Casting for wheel assembly
If I have all my dates are correct. The Lincoln funeral train according to the website, is planned to "move" from Washington, to Baltimore, to Harrisburg,PA on Tuesday April 21. It is to move from Harrisburg to Philadelphia on Wed April 22. York TCA show begins on Thursday April 23rd. This may be an opportunity for the York attendees to see this if they are arriving early. Harrisburg is about 45 minutes from York.
That is cool. I am glad there are people like that in the world.

But does it "move" by rail, or truck? The site notes, it cannot make the whole trip by rail. When will it be "more than static", "more than moving under its own power for 50ft once every few hours"? How can they expect turnout with such limited access to info like dates?(the site franktrain noted is lacking good detail, and any forms don't work right for me).
According to information published in the latest Trains Magazine, the move will be solely by truck. Highway truck that is.
Wow, that is quite the project and it looks really great. Thanks for posting

Whereas Mr. Kloke is definitely a large-scale craftsmen, it's bit of a downer that there are now two Leviathan's. (If I'm understanding the info correctly.) Sure would have been nice to have a different historic locomotive replicated so there wasn't duplicity.
Oh well.
There's only one Leviathan, Andre. It took Kloke long enough just to build that one. The Leviathan is kinda "Have Locomotive, Will Travel."
The York #17 is based on the UP 119 recreation.
He's currently building the Lyon, a replica V&T 2-6-0.
Rusty
Wow... I guess I must have gotten very confused.
