Good Morning, Was hoping to get some opinion on this from the forum. If I remember correctly when you wire a Lionel #167 whistle and direction controller into the circuit when using one of the old type V or Z transformers it lowers the starting voltage by 2 or 3 volts. If that is true could one of these be wired inline with a Lionel LW to get a lower starting voltage and still use the LW direction and whistle buttons ? The Grand Kids love how zippy our can motor industrial switcher takes off when they turn the knob on the LW . Makes Grandpa a little nervous though ! Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
