I think the "list" went beyond belief with requests for specific colors, number of rivets and on and on.  It, the list, just seemed to be a place or format for every piece of equipment desired by any and everyone since time began.  Did these folks really think all of these requests could be managed or really ever produced?

While it could be considered BG noise, any input from customers could spawn a great idea so it's certainly not a waste of time.  Unfortunately I would suspect that the 2015 catalogs are already pretty much set with a few exception.

You can't please everyone for sure.

It's become a "get something off my chest/feel good" Christmas list.  I'd be willing to bet every train manufacturer in all the scales gets stuff like this all the time.

At this point, it's just background noise.

Sending this list to Lionel would most likely be unnecessary, given that in all likelihood that even if it wasn't sent, Mike, Jon, or someone else at Lionel has been reading this thread the entire time.

Ok folks, I've decided not to send the "list" to Lionel because as John Korling had stated it has probably been viewed by Lionel people.  I'll still leave it open for posting to hear more ideas.  It did turn into an interesting experiment, and showed that no one wants the same thing and also that almost no one used the list system that I proposed to make it more organized.

I know it's bizarre to post this many pictures at once, but I had so many ideas and didn't want to forget them. I don't think anyone mentioned the Frisco 1522.

Those Automotive Vehicle Carriers were built by Johnstown America for AMTRAK, CN, CP here in the USA. They are made out of Aluminum. The models can be built out of aluminum sheets, right here in the USA. Then they can add the new "kinematic" trucks and couplers made in China.

Thanks for correcting that Andrew.  I thought nsc built those.

I know I'm late to this party, but I really hope that the C&O 614 "Greenbier" gets made with legacy. The excursion version has NEVER been made in 3-rail o-scale and I believe it is an ideal candidate for Scale or even the Vision Line.

The Excursion version of the Greenbier had an extended coal bunker (another depleting coal load?), auxiliary water tender, and in its later excursions it was fitted with wheel lights and ditch lights (awesome feature for a Vision Line locomotive)... Hope there's more people like me out there who hope that it will one day be made.

Cheers!

An actual working mag-lev train in O gauge/scale. Either it would be battery powered or somehow use the same wireless charging process as some smart phones

O scale/gauge Japanese bullet trains that reach true scale speeds. Also available in SF warbonnet livery and SP Daylight livery

Lionel On30 using Fastrack as dual gauge trackage.

Since we're doing a pie-in-the-sky wish list, and I never really understood the reasoning behind things like aquarium cars for example, I hereby submit the most likely candidate;

 The Price Is Right Sound-Equipped Animated Yodeling Mountaineer Car.

I'm telling you, this could be big...................
