I agree. I'd get one if they'd change the pilot.
I would like to see that plus an accurate sound system. I have the H-9 from 2002, and it looks great, pulls great, but has a less than stellar sound system.
Today's Legacy has a far superior chuff system, but the H-10 should also have a banshee whistle if they really want somebody who already has the H-9 to buy the new engine. The whistle they put in the H-9 is far too deep, and destroys the effect.
Lionel's H10 is really a model of an H9. Since I did not buy the earlier H9, I would prefer Lionel goes back to calling it an H9 with an H9 cab number.
Or better yet, Lionel produces a more accurate H10 by replacing the cow catcher with a footboard pilot and removes the snifters (those round valves where the steam pipes meet the cylinders). Add the banshee whistle and I'd add it to my buy list.
