Eric's trains on YouTube is featuring a special on the 2022 Lionel catalog, volume 2, tomorrow, Friday 7-15-2022. However, I see no references to it anywhere else. What gives? Mark

And Ryan and Dave will be doing a show about the new catalog on Monday
I'm impressed with Lionel's OPSEC on this catalog. Other than a leaked cover, no CliffNotes.
Is it suppose to post at 9am?

Some dealers will let folks take them when they get them in, usually a few days before the official release, and that's when the flood gates open. This is the first catalog in a few years that hasn't had a major leak.
I will say without the leaks it has made the normally exciting information fest kind of boring. Just my 2 cents.

OK, 9am tomorrow we will have it. Got it. Mark

yeah... right! a "leaked cover"
Still waiting for a Strasburg RR "89" Mogul. Lionel made one back in 2011 but it was conventional only, no TMCC.
@Arthur posted:Dealers haven't gotten them as of yesterday.
I know as of today some have them.

If I could get the shell of that one, I'd put it on my Legacy Mogul, then I'd have the #89 Mogul.
It's kind of exciting, not having any leaks......and, I have a 0700-0900 meeting tomorrow which will distract me......and, when it's done, it will be catalog time! Yeah!

Maybe I'll swing by the shop and grab one tomorrow.
Stopped by our LHS today.
They were stacked on the Trains Dept. counter.
Leafed through it.
Hmmm.... A nice new BTO engine? Or, 500 gallons...or less...of future fuel purchases. Hmmmm...
Put it back.
They have one on ebay shows cover one page inside and back.
Yes, I agree, the leaks really shouldn’t happen, this makes the suspense much more fun, there’s nothing like the day We get our hands on the most fun train catalog in the world, the Lionel catalog. Just a few more hours… Wow, it’s Exciting. Happy Railroading Everyone

Hey Pete. I thought you were retired.
I'm curious about the rolling stock offerings this time around. Maybe a CNW Business Passenger set to go with the Theater car they offered in the last catalog.

Old habits die hard, but, my eyes still open every day between 0430-0500 .......and, I am still retired......but I do some volunteer admin work for the medical staff and hospital where I worked for 36 years. It kind of keeps me connected to my friends and colleagues.....

I am guessing that we may see a Strasburg sound car to go with the #90 and the passenger cars.
I just saw this morning that Chris RBP Trains is going to be joining Eric from Eric's Trains to go over the catalog when it goes live this morning. That should be interesting. Chris said he is going to see how many engines he can make Eric buy, lol.

starting to dread what price will be for lionchief plus 2.0 i already can't convince my godparents to let me upgrade from starter sets to an LC2.0 engine
1 hour to go!
Link is on the site but doesn’t bring you to anything
And here we go! New ones are mixed in.
Seems like lionel's web site has quality control issues too

Had to view it twice to see if I missed anything…I didn’t.
Lots of toys, no new box car models. I say hire back the PS series designers / innovators.
That is volume 1.

I was thinking the same thing, i.e., that past catalogs have gone live at 10 Eastern. Then again, I honestly don't recall 100 percent.
In any event, I can easily wait through another cup of coffee.
Ryan and Dave frantically dumping coffee out of the server keyboard...
Didn't you hear? This is the super secret catalog where everything you want is in it, but you just can't see it. I'm sure it will be up by 10am EST.
tech difficulties guys
they are working on it
