I just bought through Charles Ro the 2020 Norfolk Southern VistaVision Dome (with WiFi) car - 21 inch long. The color is more 'reddish with yellow' stripe - very much like the Lionel released engine-tender mis-paint problem on the j-class steam engines that resulted in repaints by Harry Hieke.
I have several other Norfolk Southern 21-inch cars, as well as the #2027200 Norfolk Southern Full Dome 21-inch car - these ALL look 'burgundy and gold' stripe like the older Norfolk and Western Powhatan Arrow cars.
- Is this one passenger car a known mis-paint?
- Has anyone else seen this 'reddish and yellow' stripe version?
- Does anyone who knows this #2027790 car think a repaint on the whole car (not just stripe) including end sides of the car is possible?
I am not looking forward to running a single odd-ball painted car, different from all the other passenger cars in the train.
Any feedback, ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
