Lionel 6-18009 NYC Mohawk parts help needed | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I bought a Lionel 6-18009 nyc mohawk and it is missing it's bell and bell holder. I poked around on the parts sellers website and it doesn't look like anyone sells the bell, holder, and screw for my engine. Having never seen one before I do not know what it should look like. Does anyone know what bell assembly I could buy that would look close enough? The engine is a keeper, hopefully someone can help.

The bells pointed out above are for a completely different Lionel Mohawk, and neither will work for your 6-18009.

I have quite a few 18009 Mohawks, some were missing the bell too....I just use the prewar/postwar 700E-118 bell frame, and the 700E- 233 bell.....mounts right up and looks great....even has a enough handle on it to attach a lanyard if you get froggy enough........Pat
