I am working on restoring a Lionel 752 set. My plan is to convert the color scheme to Milwaukee road, following that of the Lionel 783 cars. I have a Lionel 884 car, which is a modern era remake. I also purchased some decals to apply. However, the decals are a different size that the printing on the 884 car. The fonts look pretty similar, but the Milwaukee Road name seems to be in bold font on the decal, but not on the car. The spacing of the letters look different and the size of the numbers is different as well. See the comparisons in the attached pictures. Can anyone explain what is going on? Was the 783 typeset different than the 883 remake? Are the decals the correct size? If my decals are wrong, any idea where I can get the correct ones?
