Albeit, I have only seen them in videos, but the LEDs for Bi-color classification lights seem to be brighter than the LED headlights. Are they as bright in real life as they are in video? To me they are almost obnoxiously bright.
Do you think that Lionel would be willing to lower the voltage across these so that they don't draw as much attention?
(Yes I know you can turn them off, but personally I like a green class light even if it's not prototypical)

I've thought about opening up my locomotives with the new lights and sticking a series resistor in the common lead to tone them down.

Thanks bob - this is not relevant to this current discussion. This discussion is based around the high intensity (brightness) of the lights themselves, color aside.
Actually, I like them as they are.
