Lots of big boys, Carolina and Western, Burlington and Conrail ES44!!!!
Unfortunately not a lot of New Haven love in this issue so i wont have to divert any layout construction funding this time around. Whew...
Well we know who got the Mel's Diner tooling. Some interesting choices. It will take a bit to digest but I'm feeling safe at least on big ticket items. Nice stuff but not in my field of interest. Over all looks like a healthy catalog. Should be something for everyone.
What'd you guys do? It won't load for me haha

It wants me to download an app. Nope, not gonna do it.

A lot of Lion Chief Bluetooth 5.0 Set offerings. Seven or eight by my count, with some decent variety. These must be big sellers.
Will not load for me either.

That's odd. And suspicious. Mine is just given me a broken image icon. I'm assuming it's because of server demand.
I’m in for two Decapods at least. I was trying to decide which ones before the catalog stopped loading. Looks like they also got the N8 tooling.
Not working
I could use that Trailer Train PS4 as a new road I guess? Other than that, not much interest.
Hippo for sure and definitely the long haul tender, great catalog IMO.
$4,500 on that Vision Big Boy set!! I think that's a new record for the big L?
All-new tooling on the Dreyfuss hudson has me sold. If it was just a rehash of tooling from the 90's I would have passed, but seeing how good they did on the Class A tells me they have what it takes to design from scratch something decent still.
Won’t load for me either. And I wish the guy reading it on the Lionel website picture wasn’t so old…I’m old. But you don’t have to rub it in that that’s the demographic of this hobby now…LOL
I went through it a few times fast and nothing grabbed me as a must have, so right now I'm a little bummed, not the catalog I was anticipating. I thought there would be more new variety in Legacy or LC2.0 steam but a lot of the same stuff from the last few years.
I guess I'll be on Trainz.com more this year filling out my collection.
Still on the hunt for the MTH Railking 30-1741-1 Breast Cancer Commodore Hudson
The catalog worked great until you guys started hogging it. LOL!
Its like when the teacher held up the book she was reading back in kindertgarten so you could see the pictures, and your classmates in the front stand up and block the view.
All I get is blank pages...... I think my wife may have had something to do with it
I've given it a once over and didn't see much for what I'm interested in. Ironically, the thing that caught my eye was the Lion Chief+ 2.0 0-6-0t Switchers, but I've already got one. These are great runners and one of the best bargains for what you get. They do have some new road names but, wow, has the price gone up from the original run a few years back.
I get blank pages, so nothing for me.
May take a while to load. Lots of folks trying to access no doubt . 250+ pages.
Some neat stuff in there, but a lot of it is models they did in 3019 or 2020 when there's a lot that hasn't been run in close to a decade. Oh well I'll grab a couple passenger cars and maybe mull over the GP20s...

Climate change.
Was finally able to download the pdf. As of right now, only the CNW grain boxcar. Was hoping for a Polar Railroad engine. Anyone else miss the Polar Railroad? I like the North Pole Central Sleigh Bell Limited. But with a 3K list price, will have to see how much the dealers charge.
Definitely interested in the new Dreyfuss. The tender smoke is cool but not a fan of that tender design. I’d go for the standard Dreyfuss and sell my MTH one.
but boy, that Big Boy price is hard to swallow even with all the steam effects
Loaded fine for me now. Was able to navigate back and forth easily.
Like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin, I'm always hoping they'll bring back the Snoopy and Woodstock handcar!
Hmmm, hudsons are all 072? but the Pennsy decapods are 0-54?
On a side note, not my thing, but.....If I ever wanted a holiday themed train. Man that North Pole E8 and passenger cars are sharp!
That catalog goes on forever. Nice to see Lionel is able to reproduce some of Mth's great accssories as well, adding command control to boot!
Got it up and running. I’ve wanted a Legacy Dreyfuss for a long time so that’s for sure. Probably the non-PT tender (never a big fan of that water scoop effect on the Vision Niagara I have). I’ll probably get a set of the passenger cars too…unless Scott Mann comes out with actual models of the ‘38 20th Century Limited. (Come on Scott, make us happy; my Daylight cars behind my VL engine are a joy to behold).
The Santa Fe modeler in me wants at least one 2900 class northern…but I have two MTH PS3 models of that engine that are awesome and have real difficulty justifying getting a third just for whistle steam and legacy. The Texas was easy because the MTH Texas model wasn’t very good. But this…
As for the Big Boy…I don’t have a scale Big Boy at all and I resisted buying one of the early VL on the Bay because I knew a re-release would happen some day. But now that it’s in front of me I just don’t know.

Rick I agree. That is a nice train but those 21" passenger cars just don't work for me and the fact that between the PE, Tri-Polar, and the Santa Shay I have enough Christmas trains. But 100% agree it is an eye catcher.
Only one definite so far but a nice list of possibilities. Some good custom run opportunities for PRSL on the camelback budd cars, and GLAs.
Definite: John Deere scale Flatcar & trailer
Possibilities: might sell my MTH long haul decapods to get a pair of the same w/ legacy
Atlantic City Camelback looks pretty
Prr stock car set, always said if they made these I’d get them
The Lionel Lines Playword ToFC is awesome.
Is the 2900 series MTH tooling? If so, does anyone have an opinion on it?
Would love to get a Dreyfuss with cars too. Iconic.
I usually don’t have much interest in Christmas-specific trains and cars but I have to say, that Sleigh Bell Limited E8 set is very cool- looking. 👍
Don't think it's been mentioned...
Just spotted the Disney Anniversary Mickey/Minnie Mouse handcar remake. I still remember seeing that for the first time in the old Tom Snyder video and always thought they were cool. As the lore has it, was also the item that Lionel sold a ton of and helped to "save" the company when they fell on hard times.
Adding it to my "possibles" list.
EDIT: Change that to definitely ordering one! Very cool item. And just read that they will be offered in 5-6 different colors.
Not a skimpy catalog! Most post 1940, but some interesting road names. Butterdish cars, tons of fantasy cars...will have to skim again.
Love the Legacy 4-8-4's; was surprised that they're an O-31 minimum curve. Figured they would be more an O54? Is that a typo?
It's nice that you'll be able to get a set of matching passenger cars for the Dreyfus Hudson for those who can afford it, and scale sized too. Who's offering up a special run of CNJ RDCs? I'd still like to see them scale sized, but the features you get for under $400 makes it cheaper than adding the features to old ones...
Finally, a Legacy Dreyfuss Hudson #5449 - Thats all I need from this catalog!
I really like the PRR Decapod. I'm assuming that's an MTH mold?
Boy I guess we can call this years catalog the "Year of the Dec's!"
Im in for two short tender Hippos..another [Roscoe P.] Coal train set and an extra [ for double heading [I hear that " whistle steam" is a real hoot!]
Lots of PRR N8 cabin cars to choose from.
I'm on the fence on the Amtrak E8's although I have two Amtrak heritage sets that can use the power.
I really have to "cut back" on mt train spending.
