I went through it a few times fast and nothing grabbed me as a must have, so right now I'm a little bummed, not the catalog I was anticipating.  I thought there would be more new variety in Legacy or LC2.0 steam but a lot of the same stuff from the last few years.

I guess I'll be on Trainz.com more this year filling out my collection.

Still on the hunt for the MTH Railking 30-1741-1 Breast Cancer Commodore Hudson

I've given it a once over and didn't see much for what I'm interested in. Ironically, the thing that caught my eye was the Lion Chief+ 2.0 0-6-0t Switchers, but I've already got one. These are great runners and one of the best bargains for what you get. They do have some new road names but, wow, has the price gone up from the original run a few years back.

Got it up and running.  I’ve wanted a Legacy Dreyfuss for a long time so that’s for sure.  Probably the non-PT tender (never a big fan of that water scoop effect on the Vision Niagara I have).  I’ll probably get a set of the passenger cars too…unless Scott Mann comes out with actual models of the ‘38 20th Century Limited.  (Come on Scott, make us happy; my Daylight cars behind my VL engine are a joy to behold).

The Santa Fe modeler in me wants at least one 2900 class northern…but I have two MTH PS3 models of that engine that are awesome and have real difficulty justifying getting a third just for whistle steam and legacy.  The Texas was easy because the MTH Texas model wasn’t very good.   But this…

As for the Big Boy…I don’t have a scale Big Boy at all and I resisted buying one of the early VL on the Bay because I knew a re-release would happen some day.  But now that it’s in front of me I just don’t know.

On a side note, not my thing, but.....If I ever wanted a holiday themed train. Man that North Pole E8 and passenger cars are sharp!

Rick I agree.  That is a nice train but those 21" passenger cars just don't work for me and the fact that between the PE, Tri-Polar, and the Santa Shay I have enough Christmas trains.  But 100% agree it is an eye catcher.

Only one definite so far but a nice list of possibilities. Some good custom run opportunities for PRSL on the camelback budd cars, and  GLAs.

Definite: John Deere scale Flatcar & trailer

Possibilities: might sell my MTH long haul decapods to get a pair of the same w/ legacy
Atlantic City Camelback looks pretty
Prr stock car set, always said if they made these I’d get them

Don't think it's been mentioned...

Just spotted the Disney Anniversary Mickey/Minnie Mouse handcar remake. I still remember seeing that for the first time in the old Tom Snyder video and always thought they were cool. As the lore has it, was also the item that Lionel sold a ton of and helped to "save" the company when they fell on hard times.

Adding it to my "possibles" list.

EDIT: Change that to definitely ordering one!  Very cool item. And just read that they will be offered in 5-6 different colors.

Boy I guess we can call this years catalog the "Year of the Dec's!"

Im in for two short tender Hippos..another [Roscoe P.] Coal train set and an extra [ for double heading [I hear that " whistle steam" is a real hoot!]

Lots of PRR N8 cabin cars to choose from.

I'm on the fence on the Amtrak E8's although I have two Amtrak heritage sets that can use the power.

I really have to "cut back" on mt train spending.
