I use postwar 022 switches controlled by SC2 controllers. There is no modifcation done to the switches. I believe the same is true for the ASC as well. Instead of running wires from the switch tracks to the toggle switches, you run the wires to the ASC.
I was more wondering about the 'cutting' to eliminate track power and use an Acc transformer for powering the switches. Seems like the 'cutting is simple enough, but I am not sure about the wiring part at the TMCC controller.
I use an accessory transformer to power all my switches thru the fixed voltage plugs.
Each SC-2 controls 6 switches. The first switch track provides the power to terminal 1 on each SC2. This is how the SC2 gets its power. There is no cutting of the circut board required. I think that has something to do with non - Lionel switches. The ASC can control only 4 switches and the ASC does not get its power from the switch track. So no cutting there either. But you do have to provide power to the ASC from another source.
