Having problems sleeping due to leg pain. That being said, I'm looking on Tubi and came across a whole bunch of Lionel videos. There's an hour to keep me occupied.

I’m going to watch this to see how many people ask, “what’s a tubi?”
What's a tubi?
Thanks, for the heads up on the Lionel videos.
TUBI is a free steaming service that can be downloaded to a Roku, Fire Stick etc. ON the left side there is a search icon that you can Type Lionel. The one I found was I love Lionel by TM Services.
The layout appears to have Super O track.

You gave it away. Now we will never know how many more will wonder.
Sorry Dan, being older myself I know many are confused by streaming services and wanted to help.

Tubi is one of a number of free streaming services that you can load onto an iPad, iPhone, Android, Roku, etc. For those youngsters among us, there are also reruns of Dobie Gillis available on there - "You rang". But getting back to the videos, I have to say that it is SOOOOO refreshing to just watch trains run without worrying about all of the high tech "stuff". When I was a kid, I was happy to just watch my 2343 and Super Speedliner cars go around a loop of track on the bedroom floor with the lights turned off. the worst thing were derailments. If the red light went on on the ZW it was followed with the call of "MOM!!". My parents were afraid that I would get a shock. Nowadays the biggest shock I get from toy trains is the MSRP.
Happy holidays to all.

Specifically what is the high tech stuff you're referring to that is not in the video?
RailSounds?
I can't imagine that you would be able to see or hear anything else of modern vintage in any video that's primarily capturing trains running because most technical things are behind the scenes, i.e inside the rolling stock, under the table, etc.
Perhaps a hand-held remote though?
Most modern accoutrements shouldn't be visible if the video is about trains running around a layout. If the video is instead about the technology itself, then by all means please avoid it if it's worrisome to you.
Regarding MSRP, remember that Lionel stuff has always been premium priced, from day one, through the depression, through large growth postwar, and up to this day. Price has always been high, and always complained about. (This is why Marx did so well by selling to the thrifty buyer).
Yes the modern scale stuff is more expensive, but the fundamental and traditional sets sold today are no more out of line than anything else made over the years.

The high tech stuff is Legacy, DCS, smoke emanating from just about any conceivable spot on the engine (yes, prototypical). Don't get me wrong, I am a techie. I have the first Railsounds B6 switcher from Lionel with the matching work caboose. These days it is almost an historical oddity.
As far as MSRP goes, agreed that Lionel has always been a premium brand. That was one of the reasons for the success of MTH and K-Line. Walter at RMT has also succeeded in part due to his price-point vs what you are getting for your dollar. The same applies to Menards. Look at the number of beta testers for their new diesel.
IMHO the starter sets today are not up to the level of quality of those made in the late 40s and early 50s. Plastic gears in some of the engines is not the best way to go.
I have been into trains since the mid-1950s. I was out for a while until a co-worker got me the 1983 catalogs (Traditional and Collector). I have quite a bit of Williams by Jerry Williams as there was a high level of quality there. K-line set the bar with a lot of their items.
Have a happy holiday.
Agreed.
And you have a good holiday too.

I'm not registered, this is what my screen looks like on home & office computers:
I'm thinking Tubi doesn't like to be hyperlinked. I fixed the link to work.
Searching for Lionel brings up one hit. If you search for Toy Trains you get quite a few back. I'm not registered on my PC either.

For those of a certain generation "Tubi, doobie do" - A little Strangers In The Night. For the even older set "If You Knew Tubi Like I Know Tubi".

Notice I said, “…through that link” (that you initially provided). It didn’t work until I registered and logged in to Tubi. Thank you for fixing the link.
