Lionel Ready to Play remote interchangeability

Does anyone know specifics about the different Ready to Play remotes and if any of them will work with more than one model? Are they different frequencies or signals? I have the Construction RTP set but no remote. Would one of the other diesel RTP set remotes work with this set possibly? I don't care if the announcements work, just speed and horn really. Thanks
