Many moons ago I bought one of the new really small electronic e-units. I was able to fit it
in an old docksider engine. I did not wire in a direction switch. I could swear that it worked
fine when I first used it - forward, neutral, reverse. I put it on the track today and it will only go
in one direction, as if there is a direction switch. I don't recall if I cut the wires that would have
gone to a switch or just taped them up. Could the unit have gone into a 'one direction' mode after
I ran it the first time?
