The whole collector unit that holds the rollers is inoperable. The screws and nuts came off and I cannot reattach them. Must the shell come off in order to attach nuts to screws? Daviddp
HI David, we could use some photos and engine numbers to help you. Since you mentioned nuts I would guess the shell has to come off but can't be sure without more info. Lenny
Engine number probably will suffice, but the model's stock number might be better. (If it's a repainted locomotive, the original number might not have been used.)
Also, what do you mean in your subject line? Is it a Hudson (4-6-4) or a Berkshire (2-8-4)? For that matter, what do you mean by "remake"? A reproduction of a postwar Lionel locomotive by another company? A modern Lionel reissue? A restored postwar model?
