Have found the little "bumpers" on the Thomas Christmas set seem to break off quite easily so if you have small pets/children in and

around those little trains might want to be observant.

Side note: I had used some plastic model cement to put one back on, however it did come off again. The second time I have used just

a drop of CA medium adhesive and let it sit for about one hour before touching. Seems to hold but not as "solid" as I would like.

Merry Christmas

I purchased spares from Lionel after the grandson had his first train wreck with Thomas. They are designed to friction fit for easy replacement. If you glue them in you are asking for trouble.

You must have some serious shunting going on.

@Nick12DMC- Does anyone make the scale lanterns? It bothers me that Thomas doesn't have one.

A good point about the adhesive: the plastic Thomas is made of seems to not really hold to some plastic glues.  But I just trimmed them off of all cars and Thomas this year: I found one broke when I went to open the box and I realized it could happen with the kids there when I might not see - looked to much like candy, I thought.  I have very young (2.5 yr) kids around Thomas sets at Christmas.

I have also changed the couplers on mine out to the magnetic ball types as on Brio and wooden Thomas sets - easier for them to master.

I bookmarked your post on the Brio magnet mod, I just haven't done it yet. The train wreck damaged a coupler also. Thanks, Lee. The littles are 2.5 & 1.5 yr olds.

Happy Christmas Eve to all.

Moonman, I had no idea of how those Buffers were connected. and no, I just noticed

the little part had broken off the day I had unpacked it. Thanks for the heads up.

Lee, now that's interesting...changing out the couplers to magnetic type. Would

you be so kind as to post a pic of that and also where to purchase such items?

Oh, and yes, those Buffers do resemble candy!!

May the Peace of God rest upon all and Merry Christmas!!  Ho, Ho, Ho gotta go!!!
