lionel Thomas the train

I would buy more characters if they had produced them.  We have several and like them but have some reservations.  Also Backmann makes some HO scale and they are nice but have no sounds (we have a small # of HO as well).  The O lionel sounds are OK but limited.    We have Thomas, Diesel, Arry and James.  James jumps the tracks more easily because he's too light over his pilot wheels.   Diesel and Array are the same body with different paint scheme.   They make the same or very similar sounds.  A disappointment. None have lights -- we miss lights as well.  Another disappointment.  (& resort to taping on small led lights which is just ok)  There's also G-gauge Thomas related but I don't have any of those.     Plan to add Bert and Percy when we get the chance, later in the year nearer to Christmas.  Alternatively I'm looking for or interested in other sources that would run on US o-gauge 3 rail.

If I had a 3D printer, I'd consider that route... but I don't have one (yet).

Like most companies if a product dud not get that many preorders that are needed, the product is not produced. That is what happened to Mavis
