Have two identical Lionel air whistle tenders that came with 8632 steam locos. One works fine the other not. Both tested on same layout with same LW transformer with no loco or cars attached to the tender. Attached 12v dc transformer to the wires to the motor on the non working one, to isolate the pickup and the whistle works fine. My guess is it is not picking up power from the track. Any suggestions? Would like to take the trucks off to inspect that area but don't know how.
