The layout behind us was in Richardson Farms climate-controlled greenhouse for 2 years during the Christmas season and took donations to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore, Maryland. It was also the layout we built for our seasonal pop-up store to sell trains and accessories at the same location. The little person standing beside me in this photo is Bridget Diveley, the 2012 poster child for the Johns Hopkins Children Center. She came to see the trains with her family. At age 3 in this photo, Bridget is now a normal, healthy young lady and can do what any other child can. She was born with a hole in her heart. Through the dedication and medical expertise of the Johns Hopkins Children Center, several surgeries later to repair her young heart, Bridget is with us today and able to thrive. Meeting Bridget and her supportive family really gave the layout and yearly donation collections a special, rewarding meaning.

More little folks.
Night trains. One train leaves as another arrives.
2 a.m. closing time as clerks begin to bring the beer cases inside.
Just about quitting time for this MOW crew members as B&O F units pass by.
At dusk in Patsburg little folks scurry about. Some will dine on delicious muscle dishes at Bertha's Restaurant before attending a classical music concert with the Julliard String Quartet at Our Lady of Locomotion Church. After the concert some will go to JAHN'S for a fine banana split while other's will return to Bertha's to catch the last set of the Miles Davis Nonet playing cool jazz. Then it's off to catch the train home.
There is a big load to be handled and Mr. Skeet Marx is going to supervise the entire operation.
Train crew is ready to pull the eight axle depressed center flat car to the yard.

Don and Juan took Fast Finger Freddie out underneath the trolly trestle for some target practice this afternoon.
As coincidence would have it, Vladimir Peskoff and his accomplice Vastly Leman just " happened" to be waiting under the trestle for a meet up with an associate, Big Benny, who was soon due to arrive. Don, dressed in his stylish overcoat and hat, calls out to Vladimir " Hey Val! If you're waiting for the trolley, it doesn't stop here! You better move on!" Vladimir shouts back," I'm waiting for a business associate and that associate wouldn't be you! You and I are done doing any kind of business at all! Why don't you just tell your goons to get back in the car, put it in reverse and pretend this didn't happen!"

Continuing from your hilarious sequal to my post Ted
Officer Fife arrives on the scene, chases this poor fellow through some thick brush, finally catches him, frisks him, asks a few questions only to find out he's got a totally innocent man.
Office Fife totally ignores the crackling coming from Fast Finger Freddie's rifle. Hmmm, whats up with that? What's wrong with this picture? Did Don and Juan buy ice cream cones for the police force too?

Ted...great theme and picture. Love the "Eldorado" and tow truck!
Follow up to Ted Quarter Gauger:
Fast forward a year later: Turns out that the female driving the 1957 powder blue Caddy convertible was Don's girlfriend and tied, by association, to the organized crime ring running out of Patsburg. The girl friend, Leslie Moore AKA "Les is Moore", an exotic dancer at " Bada Bing Gentleman's Club" located on the other side of the tracks, turned states evidence. Don and Juan, were later arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced to hard labor for conspiring to hijack a precious commodities train loaded with toilet paper. Word is that Vladimir Peskoff is now running the Patsburg organized crime syndicate from his Swiss cheese mobile.

I am so proud of my son, David, now almost 32 years old, who got married this past weekend.
Here he is at age 13 skateboarding, which was his favorite thing to do at that age:
IMO, you can't go wrong by putting on your layout whatever you love; when you do that, you will love your layout. Arnold
PS, that skateboarder is an Arttista O Scale figure.

I designed and built what will probably be my last layout for my two great-grandsons: Matthew (now 7) and Hudson (now 6) to enjoy. However, not long after the inaugural sessions, their interest turned to dinosaurs -- books, videos, and toys. So I added a DINOSAUR PARK to the layout as a counter-strategy. Attached pix show the beasts with their keepers and audience members.

Mike, what you have done is wonderful, making your trains more appealing to your great grandsons by adding to your layout, what they love at the moment: dinosaurs.
It just so happens that I also have dinosaurs to add to my layout in case I believe they will be entertaining to my audience. I will post photos of these "little monsters" (LOL) later. Arnold
Here are a few of my "little monsters," who will make Redsox fans. Pirate fans, and other Yankee haters very happy:
