Late Friday night on the platform, hoping to make it back to the island before midnight -
All of my military vehicles are marked USMC it was all I could find 20 years ago. Now there’s almost nothing to be found for Marines in O Scale

On the diesel train on the Port Jeff line it was known as "Tommy's Tavern on the Tracks". It ran on the 5:44 out of Hunter's Point.
After going 40 minutes without a stop (Jamaica to Greenlawn) one would have thought the car was on fire with all of the cigarette smoke pouring out when the doors finally opened. Now THAT would be a car to model with a smoke unit!
Most indispensable little people? What do you think they are?
I will answer that in a few minutes.
For me, the most indispensable little people are the little engineers driving our locomotives:
LOL
Why do you think that is?

Back in the day, when I smoked, I used to hit the bar car on the eastbound out of Penn to Huntington. I was still living at home and I was not allowed in the house until I changed my clothes in the garage. The beer was always ice cold though.

Because we need those little people in the cabs of our engines to run our trains. LOL
Some busy little people at the train station, we got a hold up and a man in blue getting a hobo out of the trash from eating a rotting fish. LOL

I just finished painting and detailing the little guys that come with the Atlantis tank truck kit. The previous ones were painted in a more uniform scheme to look corporate.

Strap Hanger Outstanding Where did you get the figure holding the newspaper?
Been repainting some sitting people for my passenger car, been adding seats to my Williams passenger cars and going to add some latrines and sinks. Also found some standing people from Michael's craft store for 3.50 for 5 ea along with repainting my railking interior P.R.R. seating.

Thanks! I picked it along with a number of other loose figures for a buck each at a local train show back in 2019. It's plastic so its not an Artista, but it has pretty decent detailing.
Sitka, you need the old style sign that was on the wall of the restroom, “Do not flush while train is in the station “

Love the coffee maker
Thanks Arnold. The coffee maker is the Coffee Urn from Twin Whistle Sign & Kit. It comes unpainted. I brush painted just a few details to make them show better.
Here's a slightly blurry photo of the coffee urn as bought.
After painting a few details. Flat black for the base. Gold for the coffee spigots and sight glass caps. And gloss brown for the coffee levels in the sight glasses. Left the rest in the base cast metal color since it looked liked stainless steel.

That is so cool! I bought a model of the “Nighthawks” diner from Wit and Wisdom Models. Got to open it see if it has interior details. I know it came with figures. JohnA

john A, Thank you for the information about the NightHawks kit available from Wit and Wisdom Models.com . I just ordered the Full Scene Kit @ $275.30 including the shipping. I love Hopper's painting and have wanted to model it for years. There was a write up about John Armstrong's model years ago, and I believe John Sethian (sp?) also built a model too. That there is now a kit, which eliminates all the front end work of creating drawings, and gathering parts, I am thrilled! The kit even includes the "little people" specifically made for the interior of the dinner. Thank you again! Can hardly wait to get the kit.

Question...I purchased those cheap 1:50 seating figures made in China to install in my Railking passenger cars. Problem is most don't fit in the seats. I have tried removing the legs, shaving the butts but nothing works well. It seems to me that the divider between each bench seat could be the cause of the problem. Should this divider be somehow removed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
