Need to make a antenna that will reach at least two(2) feet above the transformer cart,so trains can receive signal. Has anyone made one and were to get parts?

The trains get the signal from the Track and from house wiring, if the trains are loosing signal then you have other issues.
So if you are trying to improve CAb2 to Base reception then you can look at some antennae solutions. Hawking made a small one that used to be pretty popular and you can buy an extension cable from them as well. However the longer the cable the more likely you are to actually degrade your signal
Also some people have reported luck with a longer antennae that they have bought on eBay, I do not know the details on that though
Here you go, a 9db 2.4ghz Antenna, this is like the one we use at the club, made a big improvement. This one even has a base and wire so you can mount it as you describe.
YES. The Cord plugs into the same Jack as your Present (Lionel) Antenna plugs into!!! It's very simple.
