Yes, the helicopter blades collapse into a straight line so that clearance is not an issue. Our only current flatcar with lit load is the flatcar with ambulance (279-0861). This model uses pickups on the flatcar for track power. A few of our older models that I see pop up on eBay from time to time also use electrical pickups.

 

The die-cast ambulance (279-0862) uses batteries and so does out Flatcar with Tank (279-0863).

Nope. 

 

The closest "rebranding" were the early plastic buildings made for Menard's by Woodland Scenics.  That association has apparently ended.

 

It's been mentioned before, Menards cars are made by Golden Wheel Die Casting in Hong Kong.

For the record check the thread that cabinet Bob has and Menard's says it is metal, and I believe that because I hear no plasticy noise from hitting it with a finger nail.
