Does anyone belong to the Model RR Academy?
fwiw: I was searching the internet for videos of the late John Armstrong's Canadiaga Southern RR and came across videos hosted by Model Railroad Academy - by Allan Keller. The videos don't work, presumably because one has to pay for them and/or join the Academy. Before I pay a membership fee, I'd like to hear from anyone who can comment on whether its worth it, and, whether becoming a member does in fact enable the videos to function; and, whether you still have to pay extra for downloading, which I suspect is the case.
I use to own many VHS videos by Allen Keller, including the on John Armstrong's O-scale layout. They were the best done videos IMO - with copious layout tours and well-done narration and layout building tips. Unfortunately, I sold them all years ago thinking they would one day be made available on DVD...but that never came to pass. I am not sure if they're available via this Academy. I am really not excited about watching videos on my computer though, nor having to pay for downloads.
Anyone belong to the Model RR Academy care to comment?
