MTH Amtrak Genesis Smoke Unit Voltage

What is the highest input voltage allowed for the smoke units on the MTH Amtrak Genesis Diesels? Is it track voltage or regulated voltage from the PS2 Board?

The smoke resistor gets a PWM regulated voltage from the logic board. It gets raw rectified track power that is modulated by the smoke FET on the board. The effective voltage as far as heating effect is in the 4-7 volt range, depending on how much smoke intensity is called for.
