MTH engine won’t reset

Hello

I have a PS 3 SD35 made a few years ago that’s been finicky when running in lash ups and will occasionally ignore the watch dog signal from the TIU. I have reset it through the TIU. I wanted to try to manually reset directly through a transformer with a Z1000 but it won’t acknowledge the reset when I go through the process. I tried on another engine and the reset worked. Any thoughts?
