I got two sets of MTH engines, one didn't even have a box. They both are 3 rail. I need to convert them to 2 rail for me to run them. Did the original 3 rail models come with fixed pilot option included? Maybe only the two rail versions have them?
(I have sent an email to MTH to see if I can buy any pilots!)
Does anybody have any fixed pilots to sell for these F7s?

Mine did not... I had to convert them myself by making the spacer. I tried MTH for the pilots.... NO luck!
Don't know about MTH but Atlas includes "fixed pilots" for their F-units. Once installed, they can not go back because installation requires that you cut the frame.

Maybe whoever you purchased them from originally ordered the 2-Rail version, and subsequently changed-out the 2-Rail wheel sets and installed Hi-Rail/3-Rail wheel sets. That's pretty much the only way to obtain fixed pilots on any MTH locomotive model.

I had hoped they had the same wheel centers as the MP15s I have. I would have used the 3/2 trucks to convert them to two rail. No such luck.
HW, I guess I should have known that these would be the same as my other modern diesels. I thought they came with an extra set of pilots. I must have mistaken them with someone else's (Atlas or 3rd rail?). It seemed there was places for them in the F7's styro box insert?
