I am looking for a tinplate electric engine PS2 or 3 to pull 600 series cars...

Looking a MTH the only offering seems to be a 256

I know these are matched to pull 700 series cars but would it fit with 600 series cars ?
Would be the couplers be the same height ...

Would the engine dwarf the cars ...

It already dwarfs the 700 series, 600's would probably look like it's dragging a line of ducklings behind it.
