MTH Motorcycles Available Again

Yep. I have also noticed the two MTH Harley bike sets have been reissued. I will order a set of each. The question is: did MTH also reissue the biker people pack?

I have not seen that and I have looked for it.  maybe one of the forum's sponsor shops knows . . . I would love two sets.

The MTH Harleys are way too new for my steam era layout - but I just picked up a Yat Ming 1945 Indian Chief off eBay. At 1:32 it's too big for 0 scale, but it will go nicely parked next to the Lionel 122 station on the Standard Gauge portion of my layout. I wish someone would make some 0 scale steam-era motorcycles - a '37 knucklehead would be perfect. 

Hasegawa offers a 1935 Rukuo which is a copy made under license by Harley in the '30s. You can also find numerous '30s and '40s era 1/48 motorcycles on the Bay including many Brit and european brands and Indians.

MTH Harleys are also too new for my era and I believe are closer to 1:32.

The MTH Harleys are 1:48 - nice size, but rather too modern for me, too.  The five-piece MTH rider set is out there - I picked up one just a minute ago.

Charlie from Nassau hobbies posted MTH stuff arriving I think after Sept 15 and motorcycles was one of the items. I need two or 3 packs myself. I went on their site but can't find them yet. Probably won't show up until he gets them in.

The two sets I ordered arrived: I ordered two of set #1 because it was the only one available and I prefer the bikes in that set slightly over the others anyway.  I think these are really fantastic models - very detailed - and yes, a bit too modern for my layout, but . . . I'll  put them on the layout this afternoon anyway.

It is surprising how many bikes you can put on a layout and it doesn't seem enough: I have two sets of these Harleys that have been on the layout for a couple of years already, the three bikes that came with Woodland Scenics bike shop (these are great looking, and I moved two elsewhere), three of the small single cylinder bike that came with the Bachman "City People with Vehicle" figure set, and three Vespa  scooters on the layout two.  When the other MTH set comes out I will get one of those and with the Norev BMS below, have 30 on the layout - about one for every seven cars or so, which hopefully will look somewhat realistic.

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon this Norex BMW R60 which is quite nice, if expensive and not too far out of the right timeframe, either

This looks like an older versin of set #2.  You got it for a good price compared to today's.
