Check to make sure the tether between the engine and tender is firmly in place. If it is loose or disconnected the best way to access it is to remove the large screw securing the tender to the engine. The, you will have plenty of room to secure the tether. Then, engage the shaft that powers the tender drivers and reattach the screw securing the engine to the tender.

The Triplex is the most complicated of all engines to work with.  First thing is to check the connections between engine and tender,  This connection had a male/male plug in the engine.  Both the engine and tender connect to it.  The tender tether is very short and can pull out of the connector.  You can not see the engine connector without a lot of close examination.
