MTH: Smoke Unit Failure

Blow down the stack.. and then give it a try.. sometimes a bubble forms.

10 seconds won't kill the smoke unit or burn the wick much.  I doubt that's the issue.

How much fluid?

If you've put too much in it, it won't burn it out, but it may not smoke until a bit is worked off.  You can set it upside down on a rag overnight and attempt to drain some out.  Unless you drown it, it should smoke some.

A question.  Can you smell the "heat" over the stack when it sits idle and the fan runs?  It's usually pretty obvious.

Wouldn't hurt to try a feature reset and then a factory reset if that doesn't work.

All good info.  Do what the guys mentioned and set the smoke to high and see what you have or do not have.  If you run a Z4K, watch rhe AMP meter and turn the smoke on/off and let us know what you are seeing.

One small extra point, and please forgive me for mentioning it if you already do this, is that you should always ensure that the smoke-unit is turned off and cool before adding fluid. If the smoke unit is on, then besides the mess that may results from fluid being blown back at you, there is an increased chance of bubbles forming, and fluid directly hitting a hot resistor can result in unwanted deposits forming.

Blowing in the stack to remove the bubble, did the trick!
