Nice picture details on products. Still mostly greyed out support info though.

Great! Help this guy out with a manual and wiring...
Done!!!
Still a little rough around the edges and lots of broken links. Better in ways than the last site, but not enough for me to gush. I give it a "Meh" on the "Hate it - Love it" scale
Im not gushing over it but I think it looks soooo much better than the old sit. I guess it safe to say that Hell finally froze over on Feb 20, 2015, the day MTH launched their new website
I like it. It is an improvement! Hopefully, they continue to work on it to fix the links that don't work and add to it!

Yes, well done & a lot to explore.
Not really. Lots of broken links...videos won't load. Pretty much a waste of time at this point.

I've tried it in Safari, Internet Explorer 11 and Chrome. One broken link otherwise everything works.
You're going here? http://mthtrains.com/
Maybe let them know what browser, operating system etc you're using. I'm sure they would appreciate the feedback.
I like it. I really like when you type in a term, when it comes up with the results, on the left you can then narrow down by item type. I typed in PRR, and it then brought me to the results page and then on the left I could narrow down by passenger cars. I'm sur they will fix the broken links. I also like when you select an item, the details page is laid out well.
New pictures, colors, and familiar mechanics and info underneath.
As previous mentioned by others, they need time to fix a number of broken links. Particularly on the Dealer Inventory pages, the item number links take you to the MTH Homepage instead of to the item page.
The Product Search is better because now the "One of one's" are now mentioned. For example, you can type "100-ton" in the search box and the output is more complete on the left side filters. Previously, not all the single (1) road name cars listed and you had to slog though the pages to find if there was one. Now they appear as well and you can efficiently click the filter results to find that "one of" product.
Hopefully, a number of missing product images will be restored as the site matures.
In some cases though, "better" was the enemy of "good enough". For MTH reps pulsing the fan base on OGR, here are a few thoughts for improvements:
1. "Find a Dealer" search: This has become like Lionel's dealer search page and has lost the distinct advantage MTH had with the old dealer search report.
(+) Improved search by distance. You can now type in the distance from zip code to search where before you only had 10, 25, 100 mile radius choices. It was humorous to find you could search now by nautical miles if desired.
(-) Dealers are now listed only 10 per page across multiple pages. Previously, you scrolled down one page to view all dealers within the searched radius and clicked one. Now you have to advance by pages to see dealers. Very inefficient. Also, the dealers' geographic distance away mileage no longer shows.
(-) Links to the MTH Dealer Inventory page are no longer available here. This is bad. The ability to find a dealer AND search their listed inventory was a huge advantage for MTH and one of the best sales techniques offered. When you can no longer see your dealer's inventory, the opportunity for a spontaneous purchase is removed. "Hey, what's that? Oh, I'd like that. Where's the phone?" This linkage should be restored.
Note: You can still get to a dealer's inventory, but you have to do it through a product search AND they have to list it. If they list it in their inventory, then you can click "show" on the item page and get to the old dealer inventory page. That's fine, if they have that item in stock. But if not, then you can't get to their inventory link because it is no longer on the "Find a Dealer" pages. Quirky backdoor routes like this are not helpful.
2. Product page
(+) Hover and zoom view of the product's catalog picture is nice. It would be great if the actual item photo could be added when available. Front and rear views would be great. Some older item pages actually had this before.
The best retail websites require few clicks, fewer pages to search and quick loads. MTH is on the way here. Restoring the dealer inventory links is a BIG DEAL though.

I'd like congratulate and thank MTH for updating the "Find A Dealer" function in their new web site. The dealers now appear on a single scrollable page with mileage distances showing.
Hopefully they are also updating the links to the dealer's MTH Inventory pages to put the links back on the "Find A Dealer" pages. This is a unique and superior sales technique that can drive sales to a dealer.
Keep going, MTH!

The only problem I have found is when doing a google search it goes to the old page that doesn't exist
It looks very nice. I could not get the shipping schedule to work, maybe later.
I looked up engines from early to late production and only found one parts list in eight tries. Is that the way it is, or can we expect more to come?
Im a little sick of missing photos though, must be some bugs to work out, John H, the havent put parts diagrams up since like 2000
All the sound files are not yet in the new site. If you need a sould file, use the old site. The old site can still be had at
There are still a few bugs.
When you browse one of the catalogs online and click on a item number, it brings you to an incorrect address. Example:
http://www.mthtrains.com/content/11-2037-1 - doesn't work, but
http://www.mthtrains.com/11-2037-1 works.
