I just picked up a used MTH Z750 as I need an extra transformer for my Christmas layout. I am wondering if there are any problems activating horn/whistle and bell sounds on my Lionel locos with it? Your help as always is appreciated.

The 750 is an excellent little transformer. You shouldn't have any trouble with Lionel or any other manufacturer bells and whistles. The only thing that can go "wrong" is you connect the output wires to the track backwards. All that will happen is that the bell button will blow the whistle and vis versa. Swap the wires and all will be fine.
It runs PS1/2, all lionel, W/WBB, Marx....no problem.
