IMG_2170IMG_2169See the pics.  I sell lumber for a living - 37 years and still going at it.  The pics show a 1/4” scale on one side 1/8” on the other.  This is a tool for a guy like me because the gap in the middle of the scale lays out joists 16” on center.  This is invaluable, trust me.

And as you can see my trusty scale has been bandaged, super glued, wrote on with sharpie pen and we have been in a love/hate relationship for so many years I wore it out.  I need a new one.  The TJI suppliers used to give these out but nothing is for free anymore and these are extinct as far as I know, can’t find one anywhere- alas…

This is a handy scale for laying out framing on anything on a layout or any carpentry project. I depend on it every day all day.  

Cut to the chase, is this doable to make this scale with the 3D gear, or where could I get these made.  Just thought I’d ask, I need a new one and there is prob a market for them.  I will leave it there.
