Hi all,
I’m trying to program this set into my legacy remote but the engines do not respond when I do the normal program procedure of entering the ID, pressing AUX1, and then set. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance. Note that these engines are just TMCC and not Legacy.

Do you have a Cab-1 TMCC remote? I think it's easier to reset them using the Cab-1 than the Cab-2. If you don't have a manual, here's the link:

Page 29 goes through the function restore procedure. This will likely fix most hangups with programming. It's very important to follow all the power up/down steps. Be sure also to put the remote in TMCC mode. You should be able to enter the locomotive info into the Cab-2 and "prepare" it to accept the engines once they're reset. Hope this gets you in the right direction. Those are gorgeous engines BTW .

I have the same engines and a Legacy Cab2... I have never hit AUX1 on the Cab2 to set up an engine. With the engine in program mode, I simply hit ENG, the desired ID number, and set - you should get the beep confirmation. Then I set the engine to run and off it goes (99% of the time!!!).
