.NET (or not) for DCS download option?

I have finally got a laptop and wanted to download the newer version of DCS, the current download is very old (like 2003...)

The MTH downloads gave options for 64 bit but not sure which one to choose with .NET or not.

The laptop is a windows 8 Samsung i7, does it really matter which one to pick on their site?

Hopefully their is a simple answer, I am confused enough with this windows 8

You already have NET installed with Win8, so you don't need to download the whole package again. If for some reason you don't have NET installed, you'll know soon enough, and in that case I'd get the proper version direct from Microsoft.
