That's what I call a list! Wow!

That's quite a building. Unusually large for a successful hobby shop.
My Apple Safari will not allow their website checkout to function due to not being able to connect to a secure server. Anyone else having this problem?

A great train store and sponser of this forum. And just 96 miles (1.5 hours) south on I-95 from my house.

Chris,
I don't' normally use Safari, but I fired it up, went to Ro, placed an item in basket and took it all the way thru the point I could cancel. It worked for me. My Safari is version 9.0 on Mac OS X Yosemite
My main browser on my various Macs is Firefox.
I just upgrade to the new IOS used Safari no issues. Tried on my Dell 15R using multiple browsers on Win 10 - no issues
RJR, Charlie designed the building himself. He always needed more space. What you do not see in the picture is a duplicate building behind just for USA Trains. A very well laid out facility. The closest to this I have ever seen is Eastside Trains in Kirkland Washington. That building was designed by the owner as a Rico Station. Something to see. Like you are standing inside an old Lionel catalog.

This is definitely on my "must visit" list the next time I'm in the Boston area. I'd be willing to bet a good part of the building is devoted for inventory storage, receiving, and shipping. If we think our trains (and their boxes) take up lots of space in our homes, just imagine what it's like receiving pallet loads of "stuff" from the importers each month!
I'm sure BTO has changed the nature of dealer ordering practices SIGNIFICANTLY, and dealers want to ship items to customers as soon as they receive them. But the larger dealers still need space to at least receive and process their inventory... not to mention a good part of the product lines are still not BTO. So having supplies on hand is important when orders come in.
I've purchased from Charlie every year since the 1970's... and not one bad experience. Not one.
What a terrific success story!!! And very much well-deserved.

David, You are one of many happy people. BTW, as a young man, Charlie was a frequent flyer at Madison Hardware.
