"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Over the years many of you have told us that you model in several different scales, which include not only O-scale but HO, N, and G plus other scales, too.

Because we have had so many requests to provide a place to talk about your accomplishments and interests in the other scales, OGR has decided to create this new forum!

This does not mean that OGR's focus on O Gauge Railroading is changing. Our magazine IS about O Gauge and always will be. This is an effort on our part to support the hobby of model railroading as a whole and to meet your interests and needs.

I hope you enjoy this new forum!

This new "HONG Forum" is going to be a winner. I am a You Tube viewer & creator, with a small channel. I watch videos of N • OO • HO * O • G • along with rail-fanning and scale steam.

These modelers also watch my channel. The most popular question is explaining what the 3rd rail does.  I tell these modelers, with 3rd rail, we never have an issue with a reverse loop causing an electrical short.

Good Luck

Gary

Sorry...can't make everyone happy it seems...  By the way Jim, if you scroll to the bottom of the "recent posts" you have the option of having ALL of them displayed...so they don't disappear in reality...

Also Alan: Fret not the naysayers. Smart move: Keep us here and not migrating off to a forum that caters to our scale of choice. Your multi-scale advertisers will appreciate that! (FWIW: I had just joined an HO forum... but now we've got one here... so I'll be hanging around more after all... ain't you glad??? )

Sounds great!  Even though I've been consumed by O gauge railroading since getting bit by the train bug after a couple decade hiatus I haven't been able to let go of the HO stuff.

Since I don't really have a large space to dedicate a full scale O layout I've built, torn down, and plan to rebuild a compressed layout using the HO for "up the mountain" perspective.

That said I usually learn something from OGaugerr no matter which forum I read!

All aboard!

Rich and Alan, this is a great thing for our hobby. Don't fret or indulge those whose mantra echoes, "My way or no way." Bravo for being all inclusive recognizing that regarding model railroading, "none of us knows everything but each of us knows something", and therefor all who participate in this great forum can (and if they keep an open mind) will learn and benefit from each others knowledge, experience and skills. United, model railroaders can only become stronger in the vast hobby industry!

THONGZOO? HONGZOOTS?? What a hoot! Why didn't I think of that!

Arthur, I laughed out loud when I read that. VERY creative and very funny!

We have had the 12-inch-to-the-foot scale covered for a long time. It's right here.
