New Hiawatha 4 pack cars issue

Just received the 2427400 4 pack with the stationsounds observation car. I have many stationsounds diner cars that all work correctly when sequence control is activated when in train mode.

I programmed the observation car as I would any other and cannot get the sequence control to function automatically. I can manually play the various sounds, but it will not play as it should in sequence mode.

I have tried deleting and reprogramming as well as resetting with no luck.

Anyone ever run into this issue and discover a fix?

UPDATE -- sent the Stationsounds Observation car back to Lionel. Initially, they reflashed and said everything is working as it should. Just to be safe, I emailed Dave to double check that indeed the car was programmed correctly as I advised that others online had stated that their car was not functioning from a sequence control standpoint. Dave was able to test my car and confirmed that it indeed was not programmed correctly from the factory. He repaired the code so that sequence control would function as intended and it is in the process of being shipped back. Special thanks to Dave for going the extra mile to get the car corrected for me.

How does CAB2 "show" you are in sequence control?? Especially given that the firmware in the sound card- which OBTW is one direction receive only- magically display the mode it's in (sequence mode) on the CAB2 display??

the manual for these cars is not yet online, but I grabbed one from a recent 2023 UP Stationsounds diner.

Again, the issue is- the car is just getting a long press of the AUX1 for 3 seconds and then if it detects that as a special command and then changes to sequence mode (which the complaint is the car is not doing) but there is no indication of sequence mode on the CAB2 nor CAB3 or any other control method.
