I recently bought the ZW-L to replace my PH180s and Legacy Powermasters.  This reduced my wiring and actually frees up some space.  However, I have noticed that with the ZW-L, I get buzzing sounds in my Fastrack CC Switches and my older TMCC and PS2/PS3 MTH engines at voltages below 18 volts.  When I power the ZW-L all the way up to 20 Volts the buzzing goes away completely.  It is the same wiring the only new thing is the ZW-L.  What would cause this and should I be concerned?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like the ZW-L has a higher peak voltage from it's transformer. So when dialing 18 vac, the waveform is not yet a fairly smooth sine wave like the earlier ZW-C has at it's maximum setting which is 18 vac.

Just wondering if your line voltage is somewhat high. 21 vac seems high since Lionel says not to go over 19 vac with Legacy.

The picture from page 7 of the manual shows max of 20 volts.  I try to run 16-18 volts for command, but the buzzing is annoying and I tried turning it up to 20 volts because I noticed it gets worse with lower voltage.  I do not run above 18 volts.  So you think it has to do with the wave form.  Would this buzzing be a concern?

I wouldn't think that the buzzing was anything other than annoying. Maybe see what is buzzing and if a change of it's environment could help. And it wouldn't hurt to have other ZW-L users to share their experiences. There could be something wrong, my guess is what I think if everything is as designed.
