I'm currently having a issue with a non-powered engine constantly shorting out the track power. This is both when the lighting switch is on and when its off.
Any suggestions on how this issue can be resolved?
All the engines that are currently on the track function fine. but as soon as you put the one non-powered engine on there the track power shorts.
so frustrating..

Remove the shell. Look for a pickup or other wire touching the frame.

If it's a diesel, check the clearance between the "pilots" and the track. I have 2 2500 HP diesels that were shorting out there. Joe
Make sure the pick rollers are parallel to the bottom of the trucks. If they are skewed one direction or other they can short, especially if going through a switch.
