Nice catch on those Saudi units! 

What was the first location in Rome?  Now that Fall is around the corner and cooler weather is coming, I'm due to get out trackside again and that looks like a decent spot to watch some trains.

That first location was actually in Dalton GA., which is north of Rome. 
I was shooting at the freight depot which is now the visitors center. There's a radio, ATCS monitor, and two mainlines (NS and CSX) through town. The two mainlines cross just past the depot on a diamond. 
This is also my personal favorite spot to just sit back at watch trains! Lots of great local resturants near by (I recommend the Oakwood Cafe on Cuyler street)

Cool rail fanning on the CSX & NS main line. The Saudi Railways Organization, has a very special paint job. Your friend has a great location for railfanning.
